Conference Location

The 2018 NECoPA conference will be held at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, MD. Located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, the Lord Baltimore was originally built in 1928. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was visited by Martin Luther King, Jr., among a host of other historic luminaries. Conference activities will be held in the ballrooms rooms of the hotel.

Conference Hotel

We encourage attendees to book hotel rooms at the Lord Baltimore Hotel using a discounted rate for NECoPA. The room rates (without taxes) are: $139.00/night for a single or double occupancy, $159.00/night for triple occupancy, and $179.00/night for quadruple occupancy.

Reservations can be made by calling 1-855-539-1928 and asking for the “Schaefer Center for Public Policy” rate. Guest can also book a reservation by visiting www.lordbaltimorehotel.com and using the group ID 1811SCHAEF. To take advantage of these rates, reservations must be made by Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Conference Schedule

NECOPA 2018 will take place Friday, November 2, 2018 through Sunday, November 4, 2018. Registration covers the cost of attending all three days of the conference. A conference program will be available starting October 1, 2018.

On Friday, the conference will host the opening plenary, coffee break, a kick-off panel discussion on blindspots, and a workshop for Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion modelled after the Ally Training from ASPA 2018. On Saturday, the conference will host a conference panels in the morning and afternoon as well as a coffee breaks, luncheon, and evening reception. On Sunday, the conference will host conference panels in the morning and afternoon as well as a breakfast, coffee breaks, and luncheon.
